It has come to my attention that ASRock is the manufacturer that currently offers the most support for Phenom CPUs, in boards with 4Mb BIOS chips. To the extent of old chipsets like NForce 3 and ATI 480X chipsets having support. It's a situation that goes in line with what AMD always said - all AM2 boards have drop-in support with a new BIOS - no chipset problems here.
The effort is worth praise and is something I hope that other manufacturers follow at least when B3 revision Phenom CPUs are made available for public consumption.
I won't recommend anyone looking for a cheap Phenom board to grab one of ASRock boards though. They usually have many problems, from BIOS, compatibility issues with hardware to failing early in life. Quality of the components was always an issue, though recently they have made efforts to improve that.
