
Hardspell has got some benchmarks on the new budget graphics card from ATi, put together with some of it's closest competitors. The HD3690 was one of the ones thrown in, for a better estimate of the card's price/performance ratio and power.
As you can see in the above graph, CoD4 performance isn't remarkable while Crysis follows the same trend.
The card delivers nothing worthy over the HD2600 - it doesn't even manage to overtake the 8600GTS. The 9500GT won't be a softer nut to crack.
The video engine was update and it is indeed better than the current one from Nvidia, but only in VC-1 decompression, although by a considerable margin.
It's a good option for light gaming and good HD video playback but not an upgrade option for current HD2600 series owners.
