ECS X58B-A review
Ever since I owned a K7S5A motherboard that I've grown fan of many of ECS's products, symbols of remarkable stability at an affordable price.
ECS's most recent "adventure" is into the Core i7 arena, with an X58 based motherboard that supports both SLi and CrossFire and is part of it's Black series of enthusiast motherboards.
As you can see above, the motherboard isn't extraordinary and the 6 phase CPU power supply is far from desirable for CPUs like the Core i7. The layout is pretty decent and the looks are also good, as are the 6 DIMMs available which some X58 boards skip.
The reviewer achieved 155MHz for the BClock of the motherboard, far from excellent:
The motherboard is available for $239, which is more affordable than most X58 based motherboards.
