After previous benchmarks on the card have been leaked, today, VR-Zone released it's take on the new cards.
Performance is inline with what we saw before, leaving the 8800GS behind, while not touching 8800GT's territory - without overclocking. Most cards feature 1ns, 2GHz, memory that allows for some extra bandwidth for free.
The price is said to be below the €170eur mark for the 512MB card and ATI has already answered the best way they can currently: with some price cuts. The Radeon HD3870 512MB goes from $244 to $189 and the 512MB HD 3850 from $199 to $169.
Buying the 8800GS is mostly pointless now, unless you manage to grab a 768MB card, the hard ones to find, otherwise it's an easy choice.
Tweaktown also has a review of the Galaxy branded card.
