After being shown a while ago, the X48 based motherboard from Foxconn has finally been caught on it's latest form, bringing a overclocking heads-up with it.
The original cooling blocks demonstrated earlier have gone away, sadly; the watercooling capabilities will certainly be missed by some.
Other than that not much has changed and we can now also take a look at the PWM circuitry; it looks like an analog design but is unlike anything I've ever seen. It seems to be an 8 phase design with some cutting-edge components together with what seem like tantalum capacitors - I say that because the small solid capacitors next to them point otherwise - definitely not a regular design.
On the memory power supply side, Foxconn is behind what Asus has been doing lately though, with only a one phase design. Like most X48 boards shown, it will feature DDR3 support.
Overclocking is still looking good, although not great. 450MHz with a quad:

Dual cores are clocking above 500MHz. Not great, but enough for 4GHz on an 8x multiplier.
Voltage options will be plenty and initial impressions also point at zero vDroop. The board doesn't looks like ready to take the enthusiast market by storm, but if the price is right, it might be a good option for a performance rig.
