EVGA has announced the availability of another SuperClock card, this time around based on the 8800GT and dubbed the AKIMBO SC.
This new card is available with the following clockspeeds: 720MHz for the core, 1728MHz for the shaders and 2GHz for the ram. This is a very good overclock, from the stock clocks of 600, 1500 and 1800MHz, and will make this card a serious competitor to the 8800GTS. Pricing is not available yet, but should be lower than the GTS card, making it a very good purchase if your looking for performance.
The cards features what looks like the 8800GTS cooler and for someone who only wants the extra cooling capabilities, EVGA will also sell the same card with the stock clocks.
