In a conference with financial analysts, Intel disclosed that it plans to have samples of it's "Larrabee" processor ready in late 2008.
Paul Otellini, Intel's CEO, further detailed that customers could expect a product release in late 2009 or early 2010.
While no official statement has been made about it, the Larrabee project is strongly speculated to be related to an high-end graphics GPU, based in x86 technology. That would mark the return of Intel to the discrete graphics card market, that it left after the release of the i740 chip.
