Biostar releases the TA780G M2+

The new motherboard fully supports the AMD Phenom processors and HT3.0 and comes as part of the T-Series, known for it's overclocker pedigree.

While packing a good layout and some solid capacitors, in the most important place, the board leaves much to be desired in the PWM department. Dual-core CPUs will be fine, but quad-cores will prove a challenge to overclock with the meager three phases at work - a shame in motherboards typically targeted at enthusiasts.

Unlike with Intel's 45nm process,
AMD's current leakage isn't going to be disappear anytime soon. A minimum of 5 phases, 4 for the CPU's cores and 1 for the memory controller, would have been a good choice.
The DVI-I output, together with the VGA, is becoming quite normal in this type of boards but it is still noteworthy, while the lack of an HDMI port is disappointing. These boards would do go in HTPCs.
The full product specifications are available at Biostar's site.
