Nvidia seems to have secure a design win with Microsoft, one which may well be the most significant this year.
Despite being an interesting product, Nvidia has not secured many design wins up until now - especially ones associated with mass production devices - and mainly has some netbook designs from tier 3 OEMs.
Graphics capabilities will abound and Tegra opens up the Zune HD to new possibilities involving the portable gaming market - similar to where the iPhone stands right now.
Tegra is now a step closer to be what Nvidia was hoping it would be, a cash cow, seemingly necessary in the midst of missing Intel LGA 1156 and 1366 chipset licenses and CPUs with integrated graphics cores.
