DFI released a new motherboard that fits in it's new line of Lanparty DK motherboards. This new line closely resembles the old nForce 4 DFIs, while the UT series has moved up in the ladder to another territory.
This one, the 790FX-M2RS is, as the name implies, based on AMD's 790FX chipset, but features a more typical analog cpu power regulation circuitry, contrary to the LP UT.
Other somewhat useless items like the Transpiper and heatpipe cooling are gone. Frankly this chipset doesn't need them to have proper cooling and this way the price can go below the $200, hopefully into the $150 range. Triple-Crossfire is still on board.
The board also features the Bernstein 8-channel audio module, all solid japanese capacitors, a very capable 4+1 phase power supply and, of course, the color scheme that immortalized the 939 nForce4 DFIs.
The ASP for this board wasn't available at publishing time.
