ATI Radeon HD3870X2 early reviews

InsideHW has reviewed the new Radeon HD3870X2 from ATI, although there aren't many benchmarks.
The NDA was up yesterday, but it seems reviewers are waiting for a new driver, that will solve many performance issues, till they let some more results out.
FPSLabs has the other review, comparing it to Nvidia cards, which indeed reveals some performance problems.

It is also possible that it is the driver that also brings Quad-Crossfire support, it was expected this month. That would make some sense since that's the only way to take Nvidia's performance crown from the Triple-SLI.

At 400eur it is somewhat more expensive than a HD3870 Crossfire but Quad-Crossfire is more easily doable. Expect more refined reviews soon.

Update:
FPSLabs used an early build of the driver, that they claim to be the 7.12 version of Catalyst. This probably explains some of the performance problems that they had.
