Toshiba will begin shipments, this week, of two models of the Qosmio 2 series laptops that feature an HD DVD-RW drive. One model has a 17" screen, while the other features a more portable 15.4".
This are not your standard laptop but it's intended at replacing both the a desktop computer and a TV. To that effect it features two TV tuners, allowing to record a show while watching TV at the same time, acting as a great PVR device in conjunction with the HD DVD-RW drive.
No word yet on future availability of HD DVD-RW drives in more accessible laptops or desktops.
