Gigabyte 8800GT with Zalman cooler

As we can see in the picture, Gigabyte has partnered with Zalman to bring a new line of both 8800GTs and HD3800 series cards featuring the famous VF700-AlCu cooler.
Although you will lose the ability to use the expansion slot next to the graphics card, this cooler is well known for it's efficacy and is still one of the best and cheaper graphics card coolers available.
The only available models for now are the two 8800GTs, 256MB and 512MB versions, priced at about 200 and 240eur respectively or a bit more in dollars.
The three ATI versions, the HD3850 256MB, HD3850 512MB and the HD3870 512MB, will come later.

The only problem I see is that Zalman uses fans with bearings that are sub par. If you want to build a silent PC, you should be able to do it with these coolers, but sometimes the bearings come from factory not in the best shape and make noise way above the fan in minimal speed, an irritating friction noise.
If you don't care about noise, this is a killer combo. Just be sure to clean it from time to time, as these get dirtier than your average cooler.
