Let the re-branding begin.
Nvidia has taken the 48 shader DirectX 10.1 GT 220 card and has started to re-brand it for the launch of the GeForce 300 series early next year.
The model number may suit the card but the lack of DirectX 11 support is surely a major loss and may generate confusion among the uninformed buyer since the GeForce 300 series will feature high end cards with DirectX 11 support.
Such a move may indicate that cheaper versions of the "Fermi" architecture are not expected in the first half of next year.
