Intel's P55 PCH chipset is enabling a new category of high performance SFF PCs. DFI is one of the first to deliver a Mini-ITX P55 motherboards.
The motherboard is called LanParty MI P55-T36 and features support for all LGA 1156 Core i5 and Core i7 processors, two DDR3 DIMMs and a PCI-Express x16 slot. The CPUs are powered by a 6 phase digital PWM which are coupled with solid capacitors only. Features like CMOS Reloaded - which allows you to save overclocking profiles - are present, as is the traditional level of BIOS tweaking capabilities in DFI motherboards.
The sound department is taken care by a Sound Blaster X-Fi chip.
This motherboard is the smaller brother to the already available P55 ATX high-end offering from DFI, the DFI LANParty DK P55-T3eH9 motherboard.
Don't expect the newcomer to be a cheap motherboard, but one built to last.
Update: Now available @ Newegg for $135, thanks to TekBoi for the heads up.
