Lemote Yeeloong 8.9'' netbook reviewed
OSNews had a look at this netbook that sports a Chinese MIPS based CPU, the Loongson 2 running at 800MHz. It's a 64bit CPU and the laptop itself also has a 160GB HDD and 1GB of RAM. The battery life is less than spectacular, at 1h30m.
The CPU partners with the AMD CS5536 southbridg - like the Geode LX in the OLPC - to provide USB and IDE support, for example.
As such, it uses a port of Debian for the MIPS architecture, which is part of the Debian project.
I surely would like to benchmark one, they don't, although the reviewer mentions it's a responsive system.
