ARM is showcasing it's upcoming netbooks, which are aimed squarely at Intel's Atom. Compared, they are generally thinner and have lower power consumption.

The showcased netbooks are based in licensed cores from ARM, like Qualcomm's Snapdragon and Freescale's iMX515. Both are capable of delivering HD 720p content and run at around 1GHz:

ARM is working with Canonical to have a full Ubuntu distribution for ARM processors, while Adobe has announced the release of an ARM version of Flash 10 soon.

Benchmarks of these cores are still hard to come by, so performance is anyone's best guess right now. April will mark the release of Ubuntu's ARM variant, by which time performance figures should become widely available.

Prices are quoted at about $250 with deliveries starting in June.
